Description

Beginning of the second year of shiurim in Bilvavi. Quick overview of the style of the sefer and what we’ve learned until now. If a Jew has the proper emunah (faith) than nothing thrown their way will shake their foundation in Judaism. The best way the father (which is the intellect) can influence the child (the heart) is through question and answer. The child inside all of us (the heart) acquires something from the father inside of us (the mind) through continually asking and answering questions. The idea of a father teaching a son on seder night is really the way that we must also teach ourselves. When the Chofetz Chaim felt weakness in his emunah he would simply review the Creation.
