Description

From Toras Emes (Chanukah, 1875) of Reb Yehuda Leib Eiger. The message of Chanukah is that even in the lowest place, there is still hope for a better and brighter future. According to teva, the oil should have expired, but it was specifically at that moment, where the miracle occurred. This teaches us that there is never a cessation from kedushas yisrael, even when teva seems to say otherwise. Chanukah is from beyond teva and represents a revival of the source of life within each and every Jew.
