Description
Based on Rav Tzvi Meir Zilberberg's Sichos Hischaskus Erev Shabbos Chazon 5759, P. 16. The second in a series about davening (praying) during the three weeks – what to think about, and how to improve our davening. The three weeks are really a very special time, which are merely clothed in garments of churban (destruction). As we near the geula (redemption), we are able to tap more and more into the power of the days of mourning. We all have the power to build a part of the Beis Hamikdash (holy temple). We each have a certain area in which we have to be mesaken (fix) the world. If we feel Hashem hates us, we will not have any desire to serve Hashem. We have to internalize how much Hashem loves us. After a hundred and twenty, we will be asked if we awaited the salvation within ourselves – to once again experience closeness to Hashem. When we are not successful in our learning, we should pray for moshiach (the messiah). Our power is through our prayer.
