Description

Oros HaTorah, Perek 13, 5th piece. There is a general current of Elokus (Godliness) that is pulsating throughout the Torah, and is most accessible in Eretz Yisrael. The inner light of Torah is in all of the details, while the surrounding light of Torah is the big picture. In the Torah of Chutz L'Aretz (outside of the Land), the details are experienced as separate details, not as part of a more encompassing vision. There are strange technicalities in halacha, like the 'tower floating in the sky', that have the greatest and deepest concepts in avodah. The great tzaddikim try to show how the revealed and hidden in Torah are all one. The air of Eretz Yisrael gives a person more chochma (wisdom), more ability to understand the general formula, how all the pieces fit together.
