Description

Returning to Oros HaTorah, Perek 13, 2nd & 3rd pieces. There is no Torah like the Torah of Eretz Yisrael. This generation cannot be satisfied by the Torah of Chutz L'Aretz (outside of the Land), and it is more true now than in the generation when Rav Kook wrote the pieces in Oros HaTorah. The Torah is emes (true) and chaim (life-giving). The Torah of Chutz L'Aretz is concerned with the condition of the individual Jew in both physical and spiritual matters. The Torah of Eretz Yisrael is about Klal Yisrael, the soul of the entire Nation, and it is filled with life and excitement. In learning the Torah of Eretz Yisrael is about emunah, yiras Shamayim (fear of Heaven), and depth and breadth in all areas of Torah. Rav Kook was very excited about projects like the Encyclopedia Talmudica, that organize concepts in Torah into clalim (general principles).
