Description

Continuing in Toras HaRaya about Toras Eretz Yisrael. If the halacha is determined by people, then how could it be that we listen to the bas kol (divine communication) that halacha goes according to Beis Hillel? The Torah of Eretz Yisrael is the unification of the nigleh (revealed) and nistar (hidden) Torah. In learning, you have to daven that you should understand and then put the halacha into practice properly. The ikar in having children who will be successful in their learning is for the mother to cry when davening over the candles at lighting time Erev Shabbos. Nevuah (prophesy) would come from time to time, except for Moshe Rabbeinu who lived in a state of nevuah. The spirituality of the chacham (Torah scholar) is constant, but it weakens his physicality. The Navi (prophet) would be completely incapacitated during the nevuah, but would emerge physically and spiritually strengthened. At the end of time, the two paths of nevuah and chochma will be weaved together.
