Description

Rav Kook's Ma'amar "Al pnimius haTorah." p. 323, piece 11. Emunah (faith) is falling because people are not learning the deep chochma (wisdom) of emunah. There are many factors holding us back from learning emunah, including people saying that you can get all of your emunah purely from the Gemara and Mishna Berurah. Mussar teaches that if left up to our nature, we would be like animals, which is why we need constant learning and working on our middos (character traits). Hashem wants us go deeply into the sugya (subject) of Moshiach and all of the ikarei (fundamentals) of emunah. The idea that learning emunah will take a person off the derech is ridiculous. The greatest danger to Yiddishkeit is not learning emunah.
