Description

P. 60. Se'if 9. The mysteries of the letters of the Aleph Beis. The neshamah (soul) grows tired of the confines and borders of human intellect - a person might have intellectual questions about, for example, the grand canyon, or the rain forests, but when you are standing there, it takes your breath away, and there are no more questions. A comment about on the Haggadah - why is it that we only invite those who need it when we are already sitting at the seder? Torah learning and influence on the community in the US immediately after the Holocaust were almost non-existent, even though great tzaddikim invested all their energies. When, after being held back, our questions are finally able to burst forth, and are being asked in the right way, the answers can make a very great difference in our lives. It's hard to have chiyus (life energy) in Yiddishkeit if the answers are thrown at us, without room for any questions. The beauty of the "mountaintop" and the challange of having to descend from that place. The difficulty of "giving over" with words that which cannot be described.
