A piece from Rav Mottle Zilber. In the Zohar, Rebbi Shimon Bar Yochai is the greatest, but in the Talmud he appears to be like all of the other Tannaim. Those involved in the pnimius (inner dimension) of Torah have more connection to Lag BaOmer and Tu B'Shvat. In the world of the revealed Torah, Rebbi Shimon had to cover his light. There are special neshamos (souls) that are sent down to only be involved in the revealed Torah, it all goes according to the soul root.
