Description

P. 52. There are some neshamos (souls) that feel constrained by the minutiae of this world. This is also true for tzadikim who deal with the little details in halachah (e.g., by answering endless halachic questions) and feel constrained, even though every single little word is Da'as Hashem (religion). The flash of intellect together with the illumination of the heart must cooperate to bring an expansion to the practical (seemingly constraining) details of life. There is more opportunity for kedushah (holiness) in Eretz Yisrael, conversely there is also more opportunity for tzimtzum (constriction). Very sharp comments about the small group of extremists in Beit Shemesh who cause a terrible chilul (desecration of) Hashem. When the mind gets dumbed down and becomes satisified with small things - we can feel joy with a small piece of the whole picture Hashem gave us, but we must not forget that there IS a greater picture.
