Description

Second of three shiurim based on Rav Kook's personal recollections - Chadarav. p. 113 in Chadarav. Rav Kook suffered terribly in being pulled in so many different directions. This quickness of his mind did not allow him to stay on one subject for too long. All of Torah is in every particular of the Torah. Each concept in Torah is a dear friend to every other concept. As we get closer to Moshiach, more friendships are being revealed in Torah and (l'havdil) in science. Rav Kook's ideal is to deal with the pratim (details) and bringing them into one shita (system). He wanted to create a shita of avodas Hashem (serving G-d) unifying the paths of the Gra (Vilna Gaon) and Ba'al Shem Tov. Rocks are not torn, they do not have to make peace between opposites. The tachlis (purpose) of this world is to mend what is torn.
