Description

Sixth Perek, 12th and 13th Torahs. The unique character of a Jew can only be reached through consistent Torah learning. Torah is the true nature of the Jewish people and fills us with life. When we are trying to find our chelek (special portion) in Torah, we are making the greatest contribution to Jewish life. Learning Torah as an expression of loving the Jewish people is an opening to learning Torah lishma (for it's own sake). There is a natural conflict between the chuka haruchani (spiritual yearning) for Torah and the chuka hamaasi (practical yearning), which will ultimately lead to the emergence of a great light which will renew the Jewish people in Eretz Yisroel.
