Description

Ma'amar HaDor, continuing with an introduction. Rav Kook saw the gadlus (greatness) of the generation that came to settle the land. The first step toward geula (redemption) is the inner awakening of the neshamos (souls) to push the process forward. The generations are getting weaker in the externals, the behavior, but internally, every generation becomes stronger and stronger, building on all previous generations. The hidden qualities of the Jewish people are beginning to emerge after so many years of galus (exile). The light of the greatness of the Jewish people is most revealed in the Zohar. In Rav Kook's generation, the young generation spoke through literature and ideologies. The self is the main focus now, not ideology, yet there is a great impatience and demand for the geula. If the youth would be spoken to with gadlus, then they would respond. This applies to that generation and our generation.
