Description

Ta'anug (delight) comes from opposites coming together. Continuous ta'anug is not pleasurable. Chochma (a flash of wisdom) is ta'anug because it is fresh and new. Avraham and Yitzchak symbolize ta'anug since they are the interplay between chesed (giving) and din (restriction). Events that help us clarify ourselves are situations that challenge us to go opposite our innate nature. The type of song called "rina" is sung upon emerging from darkness into light. Simcha (joy) is the state of enjoying the ongoing light.
