Description

The midrash compares the miracles of Yetzias Mitzrayim (Exodus from Egypt) and the Final Redemption. In Sefer Devarim, Moshe is speaking as himself, which is the beginning of the Oral Torah. The first luchos (tablets) were from Hashem, while the second set were engraved by Moshe. The Yid Hakadosh said that Sefer Devarim is the best mussar (ethics) sefer. The tzaddik has gotten his 'I' out of the way. Moshe was like a shofar for the Shechina (Divine Presence). The Oral Torah straightens out the heart. The greatest joy is to be in the presence of the tzaddik. The Oral Torah is Hashem speaking through us. On Shabbos every Jew is on a higher level.
