Description

Sfas Emes from ????, on Parshas Yisro and Tu B'Shvat. All brachos (blessings) come from Shabbos, yet we did not receive the mon (manna) on Shabbos because Shabbos is the mekor (source) of the mon. Hashem gave us Torah and the bracha of Shalom (peace) so that we can receive what Shabbos has to give. The Jewish people's zivug (soul mate) is Shabbos, which the non-Jews look down upon us for. The Jewish people are the mouth and palate of the world - only we can taste Hashem. Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel) is the place that is the zivug for the Jewish people and Shabbos.
