Parsha:

Description

Sfas Emes from 5631, on Shabbos Shira, Parshas Beshalach. Hashem created the world so that He could be concealed until Yitzias Mitzrayim (the Exodus from Egypt), where His involvement and direction of all things at all times was revealed to humanity. Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs) also does not have Hashem's name in it. Shira (song) is a shur (direct line) to Hashem. What we are supposed to do in this world, meaning Hashem's reason for creating us, is called our shir (song). The greatest song is a G-d-fearing Jew trying to the right thing. Chizkiyahu could have been Moshiach if he had sung a shir.
