Description

The devoted followers spent much time away from their families while learning from their Rebbe, (teacher) Reb Simcha Bunim. This caused confrontations between the neglected family members and Reb Simcha Bunim. Reb Simcha Bunim possessed extreme Yiras Shamayim (fear of G-d) and Chochma (wisdom.) Reb Simcha Bunim had the ability to perform techias hameisim, (revive the dead) but he used the strength to bring the living to life. The Polish court arranged a court case between Reb Simcha Bunim and his opponents. Reb Bunim reignited the flame of chassidus, which was weakening. We should not merely view our steps as a means to a goal, but rather we should value each step in its own right.
