Description

R’ Simcha Bunim’s father was a renowned Maggid in Europe, known as the Voydislaver Maggid. Reb Simcha's father allowed him to leave Germany which opened up more opportunities to associate and learn from Chassidim. The miraculous story of how the Voydislaver Maggid was exposed to Chassidus. As a child, R’ Simcha Bunim displayed unbelievable creativity and sensitivity. In Cheder, R’ Simcha Bunim was humiliated, but it was an experience which prompted tremendous growth. R’ Simcha Bunim returned to Germany which allowed him to relate and identify with Jews from all different types of backgrounds. Though there were four teachers involved in bringing R’ Simcha Bunim to Chassidus:, it was only the Yid HaKadosh whom R’ Simcha Bunim referred to as Admor. While R’ Simcha Bunim was in Germany he dressed in standard European apparel and related Torah in German which became a point of contention.
