Description

To understand the legacy and Torah of Reb Nachman, his heritage must be discussed. Reb Nachman MiBreslov grew up in the house where the Ba'al Shem Tov had lived and he was influenced by the many tzadikim who visited the house. Reb Nachman MiBreslov spent much time in Hisbodidus (spending time alone with G-d), a practice which he learned from the Ba'al Shem Tov. As a child Reb Nachman MiBreslov presented himself as a naughty child, yet he spent hours privately engaged in spiritual pursuits. At a young age Reb Nachman completed all Torah Shebichsav (written torah) and Torah Shebaal Peh (oral torah). Reb Nachman cried a lot, but he was not sad. We begin the first teaching in the Likutay Maharan.
