Description

P. 145. Continuing in the ma'amar Histaklus HaChayuvis (looking for the positive). Through seeking the nekudas hatov (the point of good) in a person, you can strengthen the good in the person. Seeing the good in oneself is difficult, but seeing it in others is much easier. When you love the good in a person, then they naturally want to be a better person. It's impossible to have true ahava if living life on the body level, and not on the nefesh (soul) level. There is a mitzvah to both hate and love someone - that is to hate the evil in them and love the good in them; also with ourselves. In the world of the Baal Shem Tov, loving Jews is on the level of loving Hashem and loving the Torah. One thing is guaranteed, that parents who see the good in their child, it all ends up good.
