Description

P. 117. What is the underlying goal of my avodas (service of) Hashem? Is it all about the project "me," and if os, how does Hashem fit into all this? What has changed over the generations that we need to have "daily" learning programs (e.g., daf yomi), siyumim (completion) of all types of learning? The need for a sense of accomplishment. What qualifies as a great accomplishment in avodas Hashem? What is a "gadol" among Jews? What even is the difference between an "adam gadol" and an "adam katan" (a great and small person). These definitions are always relative, not objective. A practical example of "covering ground." The main purpose is to search for and grasp Hashem - that is gadlus (greatness).
