Description

P. 75. The five senses are gifts from Hashem that allow a person to connect to something outside himself. A real connection requires conscious thought. We only perceive and take in what we pay attention to. The importance of using all our senses, but especially the power of thinking in the right and holy way. Senses without a neshamah (soul) are nothing. It is not the microphone that speaks or the contact lense that sees - our senses [similar to the contact lense or microphone], however, want to be completely faithful to what the neshamah sees. When we look through a small hole in the door and can see only a small part of the whole picture. Who holds the pen that guides our writing and that ultimately writes all of creation?
