Description

P. 60. We have no way to understand how there is no contradiction between yediah (Hashem's total knowing) and bechira (our free choice). We are not allowed to abandon bechira. The or hayediah (light of knowing) is shining out and reaching out to us from the Torah and mitzvos. In life there are two paths: (1) Taking bechira very seriously and constantly being in a state of self-focused reflection, the path of bina. (2) Being constantly aware of Hashem's yediah, putting Hashem at the center of existence and finding Hashem's light in every moment and situation, the path of chochma. The world of Shas and halacha is the world of bechira, while the world of the Zohar and pnimius haTorah is the world of yediah. The true path is to combine these two ways of being.
