Description

P. 21. Why would there be a need for "yet another" sefer about Chassidus? It falls upon us when we are adults to accept the responsibility to brighten our bodies with the light of the neshamah (soul); and though we may have seen and learned many chassidishe teachings, many times, after all the years and all the Torahs, we may not have come to the place of ahavas (love for) Hashem. An experiment: after a lifetime of learning, am I able to answer questions about the most basic principles of Yiddishkeit (e.g., what is the meaning of a person being close to G-d)? The teachings of the Ba'al Shem Tov and his students are ready and available vessels for us that contain Hashem's light - we just need to want to really understand them. Every so often, a person, who is a seeker, tries to leave the confines of his daily life and enter a place filled with light; this endeavor is not always successful - but we have the ability to MAKE it successful. Fortunate are those who search for deeper meaning.
