Description

A split had developed amongst Chassidic masters as to whether or not to openly discuss Kabbala. The majority of Rebbeim opposed open discussion of Kabbala. The Sefer Likutei Mahartsa wished to gain acceptance  to openly teach the kabbalalistic teachings of the Baal Shem Tov by outlining how and why.
