Description

From Derech Mitzvosecha of the Tzemach Tzedek, discourse on Ahavas Yisrael. There is a command not to hate your fellow Jew in your heart. There is also a command to love your fellow Jew like yourself. This command is the entire Torah and everything else is commentary. How can the Torah command an emotion? How is this the entire Torah? All Jews represent one body known as Primordial Man. Each Jew represents a separate limb. Each limb is connected to make up an entire body, and any limb lacking makes the body deficient. Primordial Man represents the world of "Tikkun" ("fixing/fixed") and encompasses all. The opposite is the world of "Pirud" ("separation").
