Description

Wrong education and environment can make a Jew crafty and calculating. Exposure to the media confuses our understanding of who we are. Even if a Jew sinks into dishonesty, it is not hard to return to simplicity and sincerity. Weak convictions can be blown in the wind. Calling a child a tzaddik (righteous person) can be damaging. "Old world" Jews had a strength whereas American Jews have lost their backbone. We can know that something is true, but still not stick by that truth. A truly honest person cannot tell a lie with a full heart.
