Description

The inner work of Chassidus is very difficult. The novelty of the Baal Shem Tov is the application of his ideas. The goal of Judaism is to sanctify the body, to make it one with the neshama (soul). Chassidus seeks to effect total transformation on every level of a person. The yetzer hara (evil inclination) is not as strong as it seems. We, as Jews, must see our greatness. The yetzer hara is like a intimidating, yet essentially weak gangster. The power of evil has no power to stand up before a Jew. Kids learn how to give in to the yetzer hara through watching their parents pursue lusts.
