Description

Based on the insights of the Ramban here in Parshat Vayeitzei (Chapter 31) and elsewhere, we will attempt to reconcile the apparent discrepancies between the prophesy Ya'akov receives & his transmission of this prophecy to his wives, to Rachel and Leah. We will study the concept of Bris Avos. Do we still benefit from this Bris? Is the redemption guaranteed because of the Teshuva of Klal Yisral, or for an entirely different reason, namely, to prevent the Chillul Shemo HaGadol? In the framework of the Ramban, what is the special status of the people of Israel?
