Fear and Awe of God is brought about by seeing the Living God in front of us, always. Fear ("Yira") shares a root with seeing ("Roeh"). Before the Besht, Awe of God was only revealed to the greatest people, others lived with fear of punishment. After the Besht, Awe of God was revealed to be part of every Jew's life. Any fear we feel in our lives emanates from the highest sphere of Midas ha-Gevura. Everything is Godliness expressing itself in this world and in our lives. The Besht revealed that any emotion and feeling simple people have is an expression of the most exalted form of that mida.
