Description

We will discuss a variety of issues regarding categories of prohibited labor during Shvi'it. Our study focuses on the house as opposed to the fields. We are not discussing work in the field. In the parsha of Shvi'it the Torah mentions the field, not the Bayit. From this we learn that work within the framework of the house is a less severe Issur. We will discuss watering, weeding, and fertilizing, as well as taking care of plants and mowing the lawns. May one cut flowers from his outdoor flowerpot?
