Description

We will study the insights of the Slonimer Rebby who defines the present tense as an integration of past and present. All time dimensions collapse into a single "Heref ayin". The Rebby formulates the "Hayom" philosophy which expresses itself not only on the day the Metzora purifies himself, but also on the day of Rosh Hashana, and every moment of Teshuva the whole year long. Man can extricate himself from the depressing thoughts of past sins which may prevent him from advancing in the perfect service of HaShem. What is the nature of the Rosh Hashana Experience, and the year-long experience of Teshuva? Is it Simcha or Eyma V'yirah? We will analyze the insights of the Shem MiShmuel on the dual nature of Teshuva. Man can re-create himself.
