Description

From Tzidkas HaTzaddik [170] of Reb Tzadok HaKohen from Lublin. God wants to give goodness to the Jewish people, but it must be preceded by prayer. Therefore, God brings forth anguish, fear, and, pain, in order to induce our prayer. When good is imminent, we are overcome with tremendous fear. However, with the fear is included the good. History has unfolded in this way too. Embedded in catastrophic events is usually the seeds of something great and good. The anguish makes a person real, and brings forth the sweetness of life. Even during all the pains of life, we are still alive and continue to live. Finished with a selection from Toras Emes, Parshas Re'eh of Reb Leibeleh Eiger.
