Description

In this shiur on the first sugya in the eighth Perek of Masechet Yoma, we will study the Gemara's Chakira regarding the opinion of Reish Lakish. Does Reish Lakish accept Chatzie Shiur at least as an Issur Derabanan? If he does, then one who takes an oath enjoining himself from eating half a zayis of Neveyla should not be required to bring a Korban Shavuah if he violates his oath, since he is "Mushba V'Eomed MeHar Sinai", i.e. the Issur Derabanan is included under the Lav of Lo Tasur. In this shiur we will analyze this premise regarding DeRabanan's.
