Description

We will study the insights of the Ramban on Chapter 14 of Sefer Devarim, & the meaning of the Kashrut laws. The refined and sensitive soul of the Jew cannot tolerate the eating of Dam, Neveila, and other forbidden foods. In the striving of the Jew for greater spirituality, the mixture of meat and milk must be excluded. We will discuss the Ramban on the spiritual impact and goal of Ma'aser Sheini. The second part of our study will focus on the law of Shmitas K'safim and the issue of the plausibility of signing a Pruzbal at the beginning of the seventh year. Finnaly, we will discuss the ethics of the treatment of an Eved Ivri and the latter's family members by the Master who owns the Eved.
