In this shiur on Hilchot Shvi'it, we will begin our study of the issur Sfichin, the Rabbinic prohibition that applies to vegetables, grains, and legumes, which grew during Shvi'it. Why was this Issur established? Where there would normally be no Zeriah, does Sfichin apply? What about the produce grown by non-Jews in Eretz Yisrael? These and other issues will be addressed.
