Description

What is the Torah's attitude towards Nedarim and Shavuot? Are we encouraged to take oaths and make pledges? Are verbal comittments recomended? Or should we stay far away from oaths? The Tanach is full of examples of the greats of early times who took oaths. We will study a very important sugya in Masechet Nedarim which teaches us when and why to take an oath.
