Description

Given to students returning from Eretz Yisrael. Every Jew experiences days and nights in their life. Days are the clear and good times. Night represents the hardships, trials, and tribulations. Due to these "nights" a Jew begins to doubt his self worth and capabilities. He or she begins to think everything is impossible and nothing is within their reach. However, every year we say in the Haggadah that we "spend that very same night" telling the story. Every Jew must know, that even though he has nights that seem to never end, he or she has the strength and ability to be freed from those bonds. Just like our ancestors in Egypt were able to extract themselves from impurity, so too we can bring ourselves out of our personal exiles.
