Description

In this shiur for Parashat Tazria, the highlight of which is the list of three categories of Negaim and their respective laws, we will address the question: what is the root of the sin that causes Negaim? What is the special role of the Kohen, and why was the Kohen chosen for this task? In the case of Nigai Batim, the Torah requires removing the furniture from the inflicted house. Why? We will analyze the sin of Tzarut Ayin. It is merely a reflection of a deficiency in moral personality, i.e. a Midah Ra'ah? Or is there some basic flaw in the individual's faith is HaShem as Creator and Owner of the universe? In this shiur, we will try to connect Negaim with the Pesach Seder. The sources for this shiur are largely from HaRav Noach Olbaum.
