1. A Rav Muvhak should have the following qualities: be a very knowledgeable Talmid Chacham, Yarei Shanayim, humble, honest, not a טפש, have patience, be on same wave length. 2. Whom to marry, whom to vote for, what parnassah to choose are all haalchic shaylos. 3. Rav Soloveitchik never heard the phrase Daas Torah when he was in Europe. 4. How could Rav Leib Mallen and Rav Zelig Epstein disagree with Rav Chaim Ozer? 5. Rav Soloveitchik said the Holocaust years were times of “Hester Panim” 6. Rav Soloveitchik consulted an expert on the Kremlin before giving his psak about protesting for Russian Jewry. 7. Julius Berman said, “We believe in Daas Torah. The Rav is our Daas Torah.”
