Description

Chapter 9, Page 26. The prophets addressed the nation as a whole. They were concerned about the big picture relationship with God and not the gritty details of daily life. There was a universal relationship between God and the world that was felt by every person, especially the Jewish people. With the exile from Jerusalem, can darkness and smallness. Jews did not realize their true value, and began to lose sight of the big picture. Particulars of daily life began to rule and the love and connection to God began to wane. The main lesson of exile is the details and the fogginess that they bring. A Jew must never lose sight of the bigger picture. Redemption begins with a return to the prophetic vision of how all the details are part of a whole
