Description

Why did Bnei Yisrael leave Mitzrayim in such a deceptive way? 1. Did Moshe lye to Paroh when demanding that Bnei Yisrael leave for "3 days"? 2. Did Bnei Yisrael deceive the Egyptians when they asked to "borrow" their processions? 3. What was the purpose of Bnei Yisrael's wandering by the Yam Suf which caused Paroh to chase after them? The shiur ends with an incredibly important lesson for our daily lives as Torah believing Jews in a turbulent world.

      Can you provide where in the ELY it states that the three days was truthfully intended as such? I also have my own explanation that is somewhat similar but hinges around the assumption that Moshe was trying to get Binei Yisroel to choose to leave. In this regard I have heard of a Chazal that says that had they been righteous enough they could have walked out of Mitzrayim. Unfortunately I do not know where this is from. Perhaps you might have a source for this as well? Thanks, Isaac kotlicky
