Description

The Gemara says that Yaakov Avinu was called "א-ל" by הקב"ה Himself. Yaakov is the trait of Emes (Truth). As children of Yaakov, the Jewish people carry his name, which means they carry the name of G-d as well. Therefore there can never be a "not-Jew" no matter what the exterior suggests. The Jewish people are never fallen but "falling," meaning never a completed process. The redemption can only come with the unification of Moshe and Dovid, Torah and Tefilah. Through this unification, the notion of fallen can never be. Learning the laws of the Torah, especially of Avodah Zara, draw closer the redemption, because it clarifies what serving G-d is and what serving foreign things are.
