    1. Title: Greater Love of God
      Author: False == 1 ? Anonymous : Yisrael K &##44;

      Saying women have a greater love of God seems to contradict several sources including the following: Magen Avraham, Ziet Ra'anan on Yalkut Shemoni, Shmuel 1:1 Woman is exempt from positive time-bound commandments because her yetzer tov is smaller. If she were commanded, it is likely she would not comply. Maharal Tiferes Yisrael 28 Chava was more physical than Adam, on a lower plane, and less connected to Hashem. Rav Tzadock Rabinowitz Dover Tzedeck p. 119 Adam was created with Hashem's decree alone, but Chava was created with Hashem's decree and Adam's desire. Therefore, Adam is on a higher plane than Chava because her creation involves more earthly elements. Perhaps, the depiction in this class of woman's love of God is meant to invoke the Midrash on women having more zrizut b'mitzvot or as Rav Hirsch puts it "more fervor for their God calling." That, while a positive quality, doesn't seem to me synonymous with a general love of God or material for a general comparison of men and women. They have different callings. Nevertheless, perhaps that's the source for the comment.
