Description

Does Hashem look the other way when man fails to live up to his responsibility? Heaven forbid! We believe in punishment; man's sins will not pass by unheeded. The Tochacha of Ki Tavo delineates the curses that reflect Divine justice. Yet, our understanding of Hashem as loving, merciful, and forgiving would lead us to the exact opposite conclusion. In this shmooze we will attempt to reconcile this seeming contradiction, and appreciate why these days are both days of Divine Mercy and, at the same time, days that are call awesome and fear-inspiring.
