Parsha:
Description
Parshat Matot opens with "Ze HaDavar", the introduction to the Parasha of Nedarim. Quoting Chazal, Rashi explains that Ze HaDavar indicates the special nature of Moshe Rabbeinu's prophecy. But why is this here in Matot? Wouldn't this be more appropriate for Parshat Yitro which testifies to the giving of the Torah. In this shiur we will explore the very unique role that Moshe Rabbeinu plays in the Parsha of Nedarim. Not only is Moshe's prophecy absolutely uniqe, but his initiative in "bringing down" from the Divine treasury Above a major part of the mitzva of the Torah, i.e., Hatarat Nedarim.
