How can women recite the post-talmudic bracha "She'asani Kirtzono" since the Gemara-Eiruvin precludes the positive formula of She'asani? In this shiur we speculate on the philosophy underlying her bracha & his. Division of labor means different groups have different modes of problem-solving even if their goal is identical. The "yud" of Ish & the "heh" of Isha signify different approaches to time. Yud begins in the realm of eternity & is challenged by the descent of the soul into the realm of measurable time. Heh moves in the opposite direction; grounded in physical reality, she ascends to the eternal. Her's is a more natural avoda based on faith in eternity. Despite their different approaches together they bring the Shechina into this world
