Description

In this shiur we will study Parshat Balak as a parsha of symbolisms, and one of the outstanding symbols of the parsha is the three major holidays (Regalim) that form the backbone of the Hebrew calendar year. Why does the evil Bilam chose to attack the festivals? We will see a recurrence of the number three. Three holidays, three Avot, the negative attributes of Bilam, three things that take a person out of the world, three cardinal sins, and three Blessings of Bilam. What is the correlation that underlies these symbols?
