We will study the Shitat HaGeonim that even Chutei Lavan must be made of wool just as Techelet must be wool. This opinion is quoted by the Rif, Ramban & Rosh in Menachot, and the Rishonim raise a slew of objections against the view of the Geonim. We will study the Ba'al HaItur's reinterpretation of the Shitat HaGeonim as well as the Malbim's explanation of the Baal HaItur. Finally, we will focus on one dimension of Parshat Shelach, namely, the connection between Tzitzit & the sin of the Meraglim. Based on the Agadatot in Sanhedrin & Sotah, we will find an important message of faith hidden in the Meraglim-Tzitzis connection.
